Description
WIA Austarc 700 Hard Facing Electrodes 3.2mm 5kg – HF70032
Heavy-Duty Hardfacing Electrode
The WIA Austarc 700 hardfacing electrode delivers extreme wear resistance for high-abrasion applications. It deposits an air-hardening martensitic Cr-Mo-V alloy designed for components exposed to constant wear, scraping, and surface fatigue. The 3.2mm size provides strong deposition rates for maintenance and rebuild work on heavily worn equipment.
Extremely Hard Wear-Resistant Deposit
Abrasocord 700 produces one of the hardest steel alloy deposits available in a stick electrode. The weld metal achieves typical hardness levels between 53–60 HRC depending on layering. This improves service life on components exposed to abrasion under low to moderate impact conditions.
Smooth Running AC/DC Performance
This electrode runs smoothly on both AC and DC welding machines. It maintains stable arc performance and good weld control during hardfacing applications. The deposit forms without relief cracking, which improves reliability on parts exposed to repeated flexing and fatigue.
Built for Agricultural and Industrial Wear Parts
The HF70032 suits post-hole augers, agricultural points, grader blades, cultivator blades, shears, tynes, and other high-wear components. It performs well on machinery parts exposed to abrasive soil, gravel, and material handling environments.
Hot Forgeable Hardfacing Alloy
The deposited alloy can be hot forged after welding if required. In the as-welded condition, the material cannot be machined without heat treatment due to its extreme hardness. This makes it ideal for applications where wear resistance matters more than machinability.
Trusted WIA Hardfacing Performance
WIA hardfacing electrodes are widely used in agriculture, earthmoving, mining, and heavy maintenance industries. Welders commonly use hardfacing rods like Abrasocord 700 to rebuild worn machinery surfaces and extend component life in abrasive environments.
