OMEGA 5356M/10-2-OME – MIG Wire 1.0mm 5356 Aluminium 2kg

Use a stainless steel wire brush to clean the aluminium before welding, this will help to remove the oxide layer. This precision layer wound aluminium MIG wire containing 5% Mg (Magnesium) considered to be the most commonly used aluminium MIG wire. The aluminium alloy 5356 widely used aluminium filler alloy and can be classified as a non-heat treatable general purpose alloy. Talweld 5356M10-2 chosen due to its relatively high shear strength because of the added magnesium which is the primary alloying element. The 5356 grade MIG welding wires have broad ranging applications which include the manufacture of storage tanks, boat building, bull bars, automotive & general aluminium fabrication. This MIG wire is suitable for welding a wide range of cast & wrought aluminium alloys.
